Earn $100 Cash Tonight Selling Candy Bars

I previously told you how to earn cash washing windows and how to make money cleaning gutters. Now I am going to share with you a side job that earned me a lot of cash during times when I was laid off from my landscaping job which helped me get by without hitting up my friends for easy cash advances.

Selling candy and candy bars is not just for church youth group fundraisers. You can make very good side money selling candy bars for $1 each.

The trick is knowing… what sells and where to sell it. You also have to know where to buy bulk fundraiser candy boxes for the lowest price so you can make the highest profit. If you do this right, you can easily make $100 in less than 4 hours time.

Making the Candy

Of course you can purchase the candy somewhere and just resell it, but for maximal profit, and in order to get a unique product, you should make it yourself. It’s not that complex.  In fact, Marilyn Oseen has put up a great book called Candy Making Made Easy you can download. I highly recommend it before you do anything else

Sell Candy in Bars and Pubs

It will require you to go out a little later in the evening, but selling candy bars to drunk bar patrons is the way to go. First off, you should go to lower class, neighborhood-type bars in lower income areas. You want the bar that attracts no more than 10 people on a regular basis. (don’t go into known gang areas though)

Small bars and pubs usually don’t sell food and the customers there will want something to munch on after a few beers. You need to go in around 11PM when most people have been there for a while.

Usually, you don’t need to ask permission from the bartender, just go in and ask patrons if they’d like to buy 5 candy bars for $5. Almost all of them already have cash handy! Score!

Sell a Candy that They Will Buy

Hands down, the best candy bar to sell in pubs and bars is Snickers. This is because it cures the sweet tooth and also staves off the salt craving that drunks get! (don’t ask me how I know this) Just believe me that it works.

M&Ms are the second best choice and you should carry Peanut, plain and also the peanut butter ones.

Sell the Candy Straight

Don’t give drunks a choice. Ask them if they’d like 5 for $5 and show them a variety. Most will just buy the 5 that you have in your hand. Many times, another patron will overhear you and will buy for their buddy.

Where to Get Fundraiser Candy

You can buy cases of candy at Walmart. There will be 25 bars in the box and the cost is about $12.50 so when you sell them all, you make a 50% profit or $25.

You can sell 4 boxes per night and make an easy $100.

If you play your cards right, you can unload an entire box in one place. You can go pretty much any night of the week and weekdays are usually better because the hard-corps drinkers are there late and will unload for some sugar to balance out the beer they have been drinking.

You can also buy larger boxes of fundraising candy that come with 48 bars for around $20, increasing your profit margin. The biggest thing to remember is not to leave the candy in your car to melt during the day.

You should also plan your route ahead of time so you can hit as many small bars in a row. Remember which ones work the best and return there a couple times per week. Just be careful not to go in too often or you will get kicked out.

Dress Professional

You want to wear a tie and white shirt when selling candy in low class bars. If you dress down, you appear to be untrustworthy and look like a hustler. If you wear a tie, people will assume you are selling for a church or something and buy from you. You don’t tell them this, however, because we don’t want to lie and misrepresent. Just let them assume as they will. Dressing classy always garners immediate respect, trust me!

Best of luck and be careful! I am not responsible for you if you get into a fight because you went into a bad place! Check the place out first and always keep safety in mind!

This cash job can be a little difficult for some people, but it is definitely a market that is wide open because not many people are willing to give it a try.
